Abstract

Hinge straps i.e. 'L' shaped plates (5) for fitting on the corners of wooden framed doors, are designed to obviate a tendency for the frame to droop out of square in prior art, and incorporates spikes (15) normal to the strap major face and locating pref. at the node and each bar end of the 'L': theses spikes penetrating the wooden frame when the straps are fixed and effecting a reinforcement of the frame. Pref. forms a spike or teeth (15) are folded cutting in the strap edge or separate spikes welded or mechanically fixed in position.
