alpha-Cyclohexyl-alpha-(3-thienyl)acetic acid is prepd. by converting 2,5-dicholorthiopehn into (2,5-dicholor-3-thienyl)-glyoxylic acid; dehalogenating to give 3-thienylgly-oxylic acid; converting into alpha-(3-thienyl)-alpha-cyclohexylgly-collic acid with an organometallic cpd; and reducing. The prods. are inters. for aminoalkyl esters, used in therapy.
