Abstract

The circular outer case (5) is made from plastic and has an annular rim provided with fixing holes (b). Inside the case are mounted two strips (d, d1) of metal, annealed to give little elasticity. These are fixed to have a wide base opening, converging to a narrower at the top. Also mounted in the case are two leaf springs (f, f1), attached to the annealed strips and having a hole in the centre of each for housing a metal ball (g). A transparent cover (c) fits over. In the case of a shock, the ball is dislodge from its seating, dropping into the bottom of the casE.
