Abstract

Reinforced vinylic copolymer are prepd. by reaction of monomers in one or more solvents, to give a miscible system, with addn. of one or more elastomers, to effect copolymer pptn. Reinforced vinylic copolymers, including a grafted -on elastomer, or elastomers, with wide variation of compns., may be formed with properties comparable to those of reinforced vinylic copolymers of azeotropic compn., e.g. colour, heat resistance, solvent resistance, mechanical properties and esp. shock resistance.
