Abstract

The calculator has a fixed sleeve (A) within which the slider (B) moves, with the sleeve (A) and slider each carrying at least one set of cooperating scale markings (A, B1). The sleeve (A) also has a slot along which the cursor (C) moves with the movement of the slider (B) and the cursor (C) being independent of each other. The slider has a further scale (B2) cooperating with one or more scales (C2, C3) on the slider (C), the latter having a further index mark (C1) which can be aligned with at least one further scale (A1, A2) provided on the sleeve (A). The three calculator elements may alternatively be in the form of concentric cylinders or discs.
