Abstract

A hydraulic motor with a set of radial pistons (10) around a central crankshaft (14) has a necked portion separating the circular, smaller diameter piston part (10) from an outwardly tapered part (13) which acts as a shoe to rest on the circular surface of the crank (14). In plan, each shoe is rectangular, with a set-in portion (17) one side, and a rectangular tongue portion (18) extending from the other side, so that each shoe fits into the next shoe, forming a continuous circle around the crankshaft.
