Abstract

The documents are laid on a flat transparent window where it is illuminated by a fixed lighting system and the light transmitted via optics to the photo sensitive surface. The lighting balance will therefore change according to the size of the document. The balance can be regulated by varying the lighting intensity from the source. Variations are achieved by changing the degree of scatter from the reflector units which are an integral part of the optical system. The reflectors are mounted in a plane parallel to the window surface and contain a light screen.
