Abstract

Electro-optical indicating device hs two support layers two electrode planes, a liq. crystal layer, and a first dielectric layer on the surface of one of the support layers directed towards the liq. crystal layer, an electrode pattern with conducting segments being arranged on the first dielectric layer. The device has high contrast between the activated and the background regions. A number of support materials may be used.
