Abstract
The drainage outlet emanating from an internal drainage channel (2) through the sill (1) to the exterior (9), extracts water by capillary action, filtering and preventing reverse flows, is formed in a metal hollow window sill section of e.g. inverted U-section. Any non-rotting porous material (6), (8) can be utilised for the core of the outlet and projects into the drainage channel and can occupy all or part of the tube or be in two interspaced sections (6, 7). The porous material does not project at the lower end of the outlet so that it will not soak up rain and pass it inwards.
