Abstract

The first thermocouple (2) is in thermal contact with a sample of the body to be studied and the other (3) is in contact with a reference body. The two thermocouples are identical and are deposited on the surface of a substrate (1), typically A1203 of thickness 120 microns and diameter 25mm. The body under investigation is deposted (100) in an area making thermal contact with the thermocouple (2) which is typically gold-nickel. The thermocouple (2) may be deposited on top of the sample provided that an isolating film of e.g. Si O2 is deposited between them. The geometrical characteristics of the substrate are such that the thermal resistance between the body and the thermocouple is low and that between the two thermocouples themselves is high. Means are provided for submitting the substrate to a predetermined temperature law as a function of time.
