Abstract

The cables are tightened and then anchored within a groove on the inside or outside of the structure's wall. The strands of the cable are greased and placed inside smooth sheaths made of antifriction material, which are then incorporated in the concrete. The pairs of ends of a pair of cables are arranged on two rectangular interpenetrating planes, with the interpenetrating parts crossing two crosswise anchorpieces in which the pairs of ends are wedged. One anchor piece consists of a square with four holes in, with the diagonal pairs of holes funnel-shaped in opposite directions, whilst the other anchor piece is in two sections and possesses only one pair of funnel-shaped holes.
