Abstract
Tubeless safety tyre for automobiles if filled by a profile of cellular material with closed cells consisting of partly crystalline polymes of 2-6C olefins, e.g. polyethylene or ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, and having a density of 20-100 g/dm3. The typre is easily produced, resists periodical violent shocks, is resistant to heat and has good riding props. The profile material is pref. partly crosslinked, and contains holes separated by a distance of 1-50 mm. The profile fills 40-90% of the space between the rim and the tyre cover, and the remainder is filled with a compressed gas.
