Abstract

The safety catch and/or hooked lever are automatically forced in a locking direction by a coiled spring. The axes about which the lever and catch swivel are aligned are at 90 deg. to one another and spaced a short distance apart along the framework tube of the pram. The other tube, which is swivably attached to the first tube by an axle pin, has a sideways projecting bolt which before it engages in the hooked lever, automatically pushes the safety catch aside. The hooked lever has a handle prevented from being depressed when in the locked position by a sideways directed projection located below it and attached to the thumb-operated part of the safety catch.
