Abstract

Polyoxadiazole fibres after spinning from soln. into an aq. coagulating bath and washing free from coagulating agent and/or residual solvent, are treated in the moist and swollen state with a dispersion or soln. of >=1 additive e.g. optical brighteners, dyes, antistatic agents, stabilisers, etc. Additives, esp. light stabilisers, are incorporated by a convenient process without risk of damage by heat or spinning solvent (usually oleum).
