Abstract

The receptacle mounted on runners (c) in the base of a container (a) consists of a three sided box (A) and a removable end assembly (B) which fits inside the box, the two normally being held together by a pivoting handle (19) which folds down to surround the box. A plastic bag is normally held in the box by this handle. When the receptacle is full, it is withdrawn on the runners, and the handle pivoted upwards. This causes two rollers (22, 22a) to be lowered to the ground on a system of levers, and the weight of the end assembly is transferred to the rollers. The assembly can them be withdrawn from the box, carrying the full plastic bag, and used as a trolley to remove the rubbish.
