Abstract

The sieve has a frame (28) on which the sieve and its frame (1) are supported by a disc (4) attached to each corner of the frame, with a groove on its underside, acting as a race for a ball mounted in a collar (10) on the support frame, permitting an eccentric motion and allowing the sieve to reciprocate. The frame (1) is reciprocated by a crank arm (25) driven by a motor (26) mounted on the support frame, the arm being double cranked, with the upper portion rotating in ball bearings inside a sleeve in a block (19) mounted on the sieve frame (1). The sieve frame is tilted, and the sleeve can align itself with the double row of ball bearings to accommodate this tilt.
