Abstract

The mounting consists of rectangular top and bottom plates (2, 4) and two sides (5). The top surface has a hole (3) for mounting the clip. The mounting is fixed in position by glueing the underside of the base (4) to the surface. If the load on the glued joint is high, the stress can be reduced using an increased are base. The fixing can be reinforced by spikes forced into the surface or the base can be omitted and the spikes alone used. Spikes passing through thin material can have their ends bent over. The hole (3) can be modified to permit the clip to be pushed into place from the side.
