Herbicidal bio-thiotriazines, of formula A-(S-Z)2 (where Z is of formula (I); A is satd. divalent 1-10C hydrocarbon; R and R2 are H or lower alkyl; and R1 and R3 are lower alkyl) are prepd. by reacting dithiols of formula A-(SH)2 with halotriazines of formula X-Z (where X is halogen), pref. in the presence of a mineral base, tert. N base or sec. alkaline alkoxide.
