Abstract

Reloading cartridge (4) for a stapler is a rectangular box contg. stacked staple strips, which dovetails onto a pivoting arm (5) (subsidiary to the usual lever arm) appended to the stapler: this arm being appropriately dimensioned to receive and retain the cartridge. The unit is interchangeable and economical. Pref. a metallic frame supports groups of staples within the unit, being withdrawn once the unit is installed on the stapler arm, and able to be reinserted should the partially empty unit be removed. This support frame is threaded through holes in the ore and aft stapler walls and is constituted of steel wire.
