Abstract
A method of coating a long object with a powder consists of feeding the object through a vibrated coating trough contng. the powder, while the object rests upon a compacted bed of the same powder within this trough. Pref., an adhesive is first applied to the object and hardened, esp. by heat. The trough is pref. V-shaped and process is for coating long or endless pipes or wires etc. The article is supported throughout its length instead of hanging; it can be bent and then cut after coating without the coating splitting away at the cut.
