Abstract

A process for defoliating cultivated fields before harvest comprises spreading on the soil, before or after harvest, a mixt of methabenzthiazuron and linuron, pref in an amt >=0.5kg/ha. Used for application to plants whicha re difficult to destroy esp. in fields of cereals, the synergistic mixt destroys dicotyledons and monocotyledons. The amt of linuron in the mixt is 10-80 pref. 30-20%. The mixt is pref. applied in an amt of 1.2-2.5 kg/ha.
