Abstract

The fixtures are for flowering marine plants. The plants are held to prevent erosion and to reestablish the biological balance of the sea. These holding devices (1) are made of concrete and have three or more slots in the circular unit. These slots (2, 3, & 4) are in the upper face of the ring. BElow each slot there are two wire loops (9). The interior face of each slot is angled in a v shape. The plants are placed in the slot facing inwards and outwards and are tied down by cord attached to the loops. The units are then placed in position from a boat.
