Abstract

Bistable transistor multivibrator can use either a linear or non-linear amplifier the impedance of which can be switched by positive feedback derived from a capacitor loop between the amplifier input and output points. The oscillator may be triggered by a light sensitive resistor, magneto-resistance or a positive or negative temperature coefficient element. Operation of switching from conducting to non-conducting state of the second transistor is indicated by a lamp in the collector circuit. Resetting of the oscillator is accomplished using a thin insulating ribbon which is hand controlled, moving a conducting strip across appropriate contacts. An arrangement for preventing the break operation can be included.
