Abstract

The pretreatment of industrial effluents to separate the various phases of different density is performed in a tank with three sections. The first section contains between a perforated partition which prevents a counter flow, and a thermal partition, a heating zone with a large heat exchanger surface. This initiates a convection-type of circulation. Used for purificn. of effluents contg. soluble oils, for coolants and lubricants for machine tools. Accelerated ascent of the light phase and descent of the heavy phase takes place.
