Abstract

This mounting unit houses one or more small expansion compensators as may be required in heating systems. Two U shaped brackets (2a) and (2b) are screwed (8) to the supporting structure and carry mounting brackets (6), (6a) for the compensators (5), (5a) and a covering box (9). The heating pipes are held on brackets (6) by clamps (7), (7a), there being an intermediate layer of resilient packing, which allows the pipes to move axially and prevents vibration from being transmitted to the structure. Both ends of the pipes are free to slide, but provision may be made to fix either end and/or to fix stops allowing a limited amount of movement.
