Abstract

The pre-set speed counter comprises a sensor, a register and an alarm. The sensor can be a photoelectric or a magnetic device mounted on the vehicle or machine whose speed is to be monitored. The sensor generates electric signal pulses and these pulses are counted by the electronic register. The duration of the pulses is selected to start-off either a light or a sound alarm. The electronic device and the alarm can be built into a box which can be installed onto the instrument display of the vehicle or onto the control panel of the machine whose speed is critical.
