Abstract

One or several metal or metal oxide layers are electrically connected to Cu metallised edge zones of the sheet. These metallized zones are tinned and to these tinned layers are attached electrical connections for feeding or taking electrical current to from the conducting surface layer(s). The electrical connections are pref. applied to the tinned layer after the deposition of the surface layers on the sheet. The fluxes used for tinning have to be washed off prior to metallizing the sheet. Used for units the cavity of which can be heated to remove any moisture deposited on the interior surfaces. The procedure ensures that the metal/metal oxide layer is uniform and thus heats up uniformly.
