Abstract

The screen consists of panels made from a lightweight alloy. A base (2) comprises a bottom plate (3) and peripheral walls (4, 5, 6 & 7). One of the walls (6) is attached to a panel forming the face of the screen (8). At its upper edge this panel has a return (11 & 12) which forms a rebate. The base of wall (6) is strengthened by triangular fillets (9). The base of the screen faces out from the site and is filled with some heavy material to stabilise the panel and this is covered over by a metal sheet which serves as a walkway. The face of the panel is covered by rock wool for sound insulation.
