Abstract

Each rafter is made up of two parts joined together at and rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rafter. The frame has two sloping sides hinged onto each other and comprises rafters and lengthwise fillets. Diagonals between the rafters of successive slopes reinforce the structure. Each fillet-piece is fixed to each rafter on at least two points spaced apart according to the slope-line of the roof. The frame is unfolded and erected on the site. The diagonals are also foldable about a central hinge and fold upwardly between the upper sections of each pair of rafters.
