Abstract

The frame-trimmer incorporates a lifting device for the struts placed between the rafters; the struts are joined together at the top by a swing-tree. The parallelogram formed by two parallel arms of the struts and the swing-tree serves as a reinforcement. The length of the links making up the strut-arms, and their hinge-points on the rafters are selected so that when the trimmer is unfolded, when suspended by the swing-tree, it is neutrally balanced for different angles of opening. The fillet-pieces serve as supports for the tiles.
