Abstract
Two shafts (2, 3), running in the same plane, rotate in bearings (4) (5). (2) can be the input shaft and (3) the output one. At the end of shaft (3) is pressed a piece (7), limited by a toroid surface of revolution (9). At the end of shaft (2) is pressed a piece (8) limited by a surface of revolution (10) which is concave and centered on shaft (2). The ball centre moves in a continuous trajectory in the plane of the axes. This allows stoppage of contact of the ball with the body of the regulator. Transmission can be varied continuously with very little effort.
