Abstract

Suspension of wettable sulphur contg. 3.001-1% esp. 0.001-0.01 wt. % w.r.t. sulphur, of water-soluble cellulose ether (I) are used for the treatment of fungal disorders of vines and fruit-trees. Conventional sulphur suspensions settle out to form deposits which cannot be re-suspended. The novel suspensions show less tendency to settle out and any deposit can be resuspended without difficulty. Cellulose ethers suitable as (I) include methyl-ethyl- and hydroxy-ethyl-cellulose. (I) is added before, during, of after the sulphur is suspended, using conventional methods.
