Abstract

The safety plug consists of a circular insulating housing containing the two 'live' pins which are inserted into a wall socket. The top or outermost surface of the plug is covered by an insulating disc (3). A strip of self-adhesive tape (4) or similar is situated on the bottom surface of the plug and holds the latter to the insulating front plate of the wall socket to prevent small children partially removing the plug and exposing themselves to the risk of electrocution. The plug can be used with existing electrical installations.
