Abstract

Auxiliary reflector of plastic material for placing inside the main reflector of an automobile light is prepd. by (a) placing below the axis of the light beam associated with the auxiliary reflector a shaped rib connecting the two side wings of the reflector, the rib being integral with the wings, providing each reflector wing with a fixing foot for attachment to the main reflector, (c) clamping the auxiliary reflector between an interior counter mould supported by the rib and a pushing tool supported by one of the ports of the exterior faces of the wings and/or the parabolic zone connecting the wings, (d) marking a fixing point on each fixing foot, the distance between these two points being predetermined, and (e) withdrawing the counterform and the pushing tool. Satisfactory dimensional stability of the entire reflector for a long period is obtd. even when both reflectors are made of plastic material.
