Abstract

Anti slip device prevents wheel slip on a rail and is not affected by small speed variations due to wheel wear. Normal detector methods cannot effectively handle this common possibility and this leads to difficulties at high speeds. The patent covers detectors, two per axle, a frequency detector (detecting axle speed) two frequency/voltage convertors, each fed by a detector and a comparison amplifier (giving positive or negative indication). These are combined with logic elements and switches to effect control. Schmitt bridges are used in the circuitry and minor speed differences (of the order of 0.6 kmph) are ignored.
