Abstract

Packing and storage device for wires or cables in transit between factory and site constitute a battery of spools mounted on a common axial spindle(2) within a partitioned frame (4). Each spool(5) comprises an axially shallow closed cylinder contg. a secondary concentric cylinder of equal length and say half the outer dia. and having one end plate slotted annularly between cylinders; thus a coil housing C sectioned circular duct is provided. Several spools on a common horizontal spindle(2) are separated by vertical square partitions(3), framing into longitudinal corner angle irons(4). A funnel attached to each partition tangentially entrains the wire feed.
