Abstract

Air purificn, process, and the removal of pollution, is effected by ozone with an excess of negative ions by means of a discharge tube; this is fed with an alternating current between its internal electrode and its external grid. The grid is connected to a circuit which keeps it at a negative potential w.r.t. that applied to the electrode of the discharge tube. The grid at the negative potential assures the neutralisation of the cations produced by the tube or contained in the air; this is known to be indispensable to biological processes.
