Abstract

Automated casting, shutter stripping and product evacuation for precast concrete unit prodn., esp. posts, utilises machine filling combination mould, inverting, elevating mould and removing product. The combination mould 5 encastre on horizontal cantilever arms 2, receives concrete from overhead hoppers 13 and vibrates 8: the cantilever arm then rotates 180 deg. to invert the mould on a vertically mobile reception plateau 15 which, authorised by micro contacts initiated by concrete weight at stripping time, lowers, thus removing the cast elements 4 from the forms. These latter are then automatically removed and replaced by an empty plateau and the cycle repeated: removal etc., being achieved by a vehicle translating parallel to mould rotation axis.
