Abstract

The data network includes an interconnection unit (T1) which permits two-way transmission between the main transmission channel (1) and a selected secondary channel (2). This unit has a number of register elements (3) and a decoder (4) which determines the nature of the data to be transmitted via the first channel (1) and controls gating ccts, allowing data received from the main channel (1) to be transferred from the register (3) to a first memory (5) and data to be transmitted from a second memory (11) to the register (3). A second decoder (13) associated with the secondary channel (2) controls data transfer from a second register (9) to the second memory (11) and from the first memory (5) to the second register (9).
