Abstract

Packet containing percolating bags pref. made of filter paper, filled with powdered coffee and for use in a domestic coffee pot of the type having a reservoir of water which is heated before being percolated through the bag; essentially the packet contains a number of bags which is fewer than the number of operating cycles of the coffee pot sufficient to cause significant accumulation of scale on the water-heating surfaces, together with a sachet filled with a dose of a descaling cpd. for use in the pot, e.g. citric acid. To ensure that descaling of the heating surfaces of domestic coffee pots is carried out at intervals which will prevent serious loss of efficiency.
