Abstract

Each contact strip comprises two metal strips mechanically located at one end. When in a magnetic circuit the free ends of the strip separate due to their interaction at the same polarity. The switch contains two such double strips with contacts on their free ends placed in juxtaposition. When in a magnetic field the double blades separate and complete the electrical circuit via the contacts. The plastics contact holders are so designed to easily locate the blades in their correct positions. The final assembly gives a very sensitive magnetically operated switch.
