Abstract

A quantity of e.g., 35 empty cylinders arranged as 7 X 5 are mounted onto a rolling platform, which is guided onto tracks and stops at the loading point. A chain conveyor running down one side of the platform, brings the full cylinders in rows of 5 at a time. These 5 are side rammed onto the platform, displacing 5 empty ones onto a similar conveyor track on the other side of the platform. This is repeated 7 times until all the cylinders on the platform are exchanged.
