Abstract

The original patent covers passing from one form of braking to the other by a simple control and automatic return to normal braking if the other is defective. This addition covers automatic changing from one system to the other by reflex action on the brake pedal. The apparatus has threshold detection actuated by normal braking, selecting which type of braking, and then providing either. A pressure device is used to actuate the pulses and a second one controls the electrical selection circuit. The pneumatic operating power is derived from the depression in the engine inlet manifold.
