Abstract

The usual stirrup in equipment of this kind is commonly made of wood, with the corners reinforced with metal. The patent covers a similarly shaped plastic stirrup less liable to breakage. The centre of the stirrup is formed as an invented tubular T whose arms project transversely, and telescopically receive outer plastic arms. The arms have ends which slope upwardly and which have hollow undersides provided with ribs for strengthening and the stem of the T is covered by a sleeve of synthetic material, so the T is completely covered.
