Abstract

Formamidines of formula (I) (where R1 is H or CH3) are prepd. by reacting a cpd. H2N-CO-C(SCH3)=N-O-CO-NR1-CH3 with a cpd. (Alkyl O)2CH-N(CH3)2 (where Alkyl is pref. (m)ethyl). (I) have broad biocidal activity against various pests. They are useful as insecticides, acaricides, bactericides and fungicides; they are also useful for combatting phytopathogenic nematodes.
