Abstract

Cpds of formula: (where A is -CH2.CH2-, -CH2-CH2-CH2-, -CH2-CH-CH2-, -CH2-O-CH2-; and R is H, (cyclo)alkyl, (hydroxy)phenylalkyl (di)methoxyphenylalkyl, or methylene-dioxyphenyalkyl), have bronchodilator and sedative activity which is greater and more prolonged than that of analogous alkali metal salts of the bis-chromones. Daily dosage is 10-50mg, pref. in dosage units contg. 5-25 mg of the salt.
