Abstract
Silver is recovered from waste photographic baths by passing the latter through pref. two beds of ferrous metal compact particles (i.e. spherical, cubic or pyrimidal) and 100-2000 mu size, contact between bath and particles being 10 mins to 3 hrs. At least 90% of silver can be easily recovered. The metal is pref. cast iron. Pref. the particle size decreases in the direction of the bath flow. An appts. for the process is also claimed.
