Abstract

Industrial gloves in which the seams for the pieces forming the thumb and at least the index finger are bonded by an activated polyurethane based resin with subsequent heat curing. Parts of the glove may be protected by an extra layer of material, also adhesive bonded. Bonded joints are less rough and rigid and therefore less prone to chafe the skin at local pressure points than conventional stitched seams.
