Abstract

One element has a lower adhesive face which adheres to the skin; its upper face has a gripping coating of the "Valcro" (RTM) type. The second element, on the other side of the wound, also has lower adhesive surface and a lateral transparent surface; this is connected to an extension which has a lower face of the "Valcro" type. an important advantage is the rapidity of closing the wound to avoid hemorrhage. No stitches or clips are needed and the wound can be kept under observation beneath the transparent element. In use, the element are placed one on each side of the wound; the extension is pulled to draw the lips of the wound together. The extended portion of the first element is then pushed down on the second element and the two "Valcro" layers stick together. At the same time the transparent material then comes directly above the wound and the quality of the closure can be observed.
