Abstract

Laminated pdt. esp. for packaging foods, has (I) a layer of thermoplastic film-forming polymer, and (II) an adherent layer consisting of a mixt of (a) an olefin (co)polymer, and (b) 2-8 wt esp. 4-6% terpene polymer having a m.p of at least 145 degrees C. Layer II bonds strongly to layer I, and provides good heat sealing properties. Layer II also bonds strongly to substrates such as paper. Physical properties of the laminate are generally better as a result of the presence of the terpene polymer.
